Roombageddon is an action game in which you assume control of a robotic vacuum cleaner taking a stand against everyday household objects that have mutated into deadly foes.

Destroy your enemies, acquire their abilities, and use them to your advantage in this chaotic clean-up operation.

Controls

The current version of the game only has partial controller support, so playing with a controller isn't recommended (although it is possible).

On keyboard and mouse, the default bindings are:

• Move: WASD
• Ability 1: left-click
• Ability 2: right-click
• Ability 3: shift
• Ability 4: space

Holding an ability input will charge the ability (if it has a charge duration). Charging increases some of the ability's effects when released. 

A note on web vs. desktop versions

The game may not perform very well in browsers. This is mainly due to particle effects loading on demand and sometimes being aggressively cleaned up when they're likely to be needed again, causing the game to temporarily freeze.

Additionally, the default input bindings for the abilities don't work very well in browsers and may disrupt gameplay - unfortunately we noticed this too late to fix it.

If you experience frequent freezing during gameplay or have issues with the default controls, please consider trying out the Linux, Windows, or macOS version of the game.
